Even though it’s still 40 degrees out and it’s only been spring for a week, I can’t help but get excited about summer. Sunshine! Being outdoors! I can’t wait. And this year, I’ll have a one year old and a two year old!

Must Have Baby and Toddler Summer Items
I can’t tell you how many straw cups we’ve gone through. (Speech pathologist friend recommended them over sippy cups.) The majority of them LEAKED. Finally, we came across this one:
I love the fact that it’s easy to take apart to clean (and reassemble!), does not leak, AND comes with a little secret snack compartment up top. Perfect for keeping the littles well hydrated! The hook is also handy!
If your kiddos love bubbles (who doesn’t?), get one of these! Totally worth it!
Doesn’t spill easily and saves you from constantly blowing the bubbles yourself (hee hee).
I love the idea of protecting my babies’ skin (especially since they are pretty fair and tend to burn quickly). I don’t love all of the yucky ingredients in standard sunscreen. After doing tons of research, I ended up buying a big tub of this:
Goes on smooth and contains one ingredient. Must reapply often but totally worth it to me!
Again, I love the idea of protecting that precious baby skin. Baby swimsuits are sooooo adorable…but provide next to nothing in terms of coverage or skin protection.
These rash guards are AWESOME. Not only do they cover almost the entire body, they are SPF 50+. AND they come in a two pack with sunglasses! We have used these suits in Mexico and Hawaii (hot, hot, hot) and both babies were well protected.
If you’re going to be out in the water (and sun), you definitely need a hat! I love that this comes with a chin strap you tie (as opposed to the velcro ones, which sometimes don’t stay put) and has a neck flap.
Nugget literally wore these every single day last summer and well into fall. They are well made, adjustable, and seem comfortable. Bonus: they dry quickly after getting wet!
This is the best little swim boat! It’s a great way to introduce your little to the water AND there’s a canopy for some added shade.
This pool is SO much fun. From the ball ramp to the slide to the palm tree that shoots out water…definite bang for your buck. It’s not too deep for baby but toddlers can enjoy too. I can’t wait to drag this out again!
I love this water table because it has two levels, an UMBRELLA, and comes with tons of toys. This was definitely a hit with Nugget.
We were so fortunate to have been gifted with this. Seats two, has room for storage, and has a canopy!
A hefty investment but oh so worth it! This is a lifesaver when I need to go places, especially alone!
